Trip to University College Cork

Thanks to Dr Asit Kumar Mishra I was pleased to be invited over to Ireland to participate in a whole day of talks for “Breathing Better, Learning Better”. It was a fantastic day full of ideas and positivity. Asit worked really hard to make the day a great success. Here’s what he had to say…

“We had an incredible mix of experts from public health, building science, clinical medicine, and advocacy all in one room. A special thank you to our brilliant speakers Ciara Steele, Dr John McKeon, James McGrath, Liz Coleman, Ruth Brooker, Ella Arensman, John Wenger and Sinead O’Brien for sharing their expertise and guiding such an engaging conversation.

The biggest takeaway from the day?
That there is immense passion and commitment across multiple sectors to ensure healthy breathing spaces for our children. But to turn awareness into action, we need more collaborative forums like this one—places where researchers, educators, policymakers, and advocates can interact, exchange ideas, and build practical solutions together.

Let’s keep the conversation going. We have a shared responsibility to make our classrooms healthier, more comfortable spaces for the next generation.”
